Meet Basavaraj S Nyamagouda(2002-06 Batch Mechanical), a dynamic force in Jamakhandi's social and political arena. Inspired by his father, Late Shri Siddu Nyamagouda, a former Union Minister, Basavaraj's engineering prowess and dedication shine through in transformative projects like the Chikkapadasalagi barrage. From converting barren lands into fertile fields to streamlining government offices with the rapid construction of infrastructure which includes Mini Vidhana Soudha, Bus Stand, Rani Channamma market, Basavaraj's impact is far-reaching.

As a nature conservation project, once a barren land, Kettikeri has been transformed as a tourist spot by rejuvenating the lake by collecting water from across different streams and planting one lakh trees around the lake.

As a administrator of a CBSE school(Royal Palace School), he's earned recognition for emphasizing moral values and holistic student development. British Council Award to the school is recognition of the same. Beyond infrastructure, Basavaraj is a champion in organzing national sports  events and envisions co-operative initiatives like hospitals and banks.
