Concept of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) Digital public infrastructure (DPI) is a set of digital platforms and technologies that enable basic functions essential for public and private service delivery, such as collaboration, commerce, and governance. It is the digital equivalent of physical public infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and schools. DPI can be divided into two main categories: foundational DPI and enabling DPI. Foundational DPI is the essential building blocks of the digital economy, such as digital identity, payment systems, and data exchange platforms.
