1.4 Understanding Metaverse One should not expect a single, all-encompassing interpretation of 'metaverse'. Especially not at the time when the Metaverse just started to emerge. The technologically driven transformation is very organic and unpredictable of the process. Moreover, this chaos enables such a large amount of disruption and results. Metaverse is best understood as a "semi-successor state to mobile internet". This is because metaverse does not fundamentally change the internet, but instead builds and converts it repeatedly. The best analogy here is that the mobile Internet is a 'semi-successor' to the Internet that was established in the 1960s to the 1990s. Although mobile Internet does not change the underlying architecture of the Internet - and, in fact, much of the Internet traffic today, including data sent to mobile devices, is transmitted and managed through static infrastructures - we still recognize it repeatedly. Different. Because the mobi
