The Lantern Keeper
In a small village where winters were long and nights stretched endlessly, an old woman named Amara kept a lantern burning in her window every night.
When travelers got lost in the thick fog, the soft golden light of Amara’s lantern would guide them back toward the village path.
Over the years, Amara grew frail. One winter night, a great snowstorm swept through the valley. Her neighbors, remembering the many times her light had saved them, each placed a lantern in their own windows.
From the hills, the village now looked like a sky fallen to the earth — a constellation of little lights, each keeping hope alive for someone they might never even meet.
