Preface

We have accessible today the resources- information, tools and experience needed for the successful practice of  cloud computing. But there is probably no mine of human created resources where the always tremendous gap between the awareness and application, knowledge and performance of the leaders and that of average is wider. This blog does not exclude from its aims the advancement of the frontier of resources; it hopes, indeed , to make some contribution to it. But its first aim is to narrow the gap between that can be harnessed and what is being harnessed ,between the leaders in the cloud computing practice and the average.  


Though not concerned with techniques this is a practical and "how to" blog.



 It is being published out of many years of experience in using cloud computing resources and working and interacting with cloud computing resource users.




And it aims at being a guide at people who can and should harness cloud computing resources  as part of their personal, professional and institutional endeavorer. 




For younger persons in professional organizations - and students and possibly future entrepreneurs who plan to make cloud computing their career- this blog should provide both vision of what cloud computing is and concrete guidance in knowledge, performance and discipline that are needed to qualify for a major cloud computing roles and positions.

But this blog is written fully as much for for the common person- layman-citizen without direct participation in cloud computing phenomenon. She, perhaps more than anyone else, needs to know what cloud computing is, what it does and what can rightfully expect from it. For ignorance of the possibilities of cloud computing, of its working, of its standards and its challenges is the most serious weakness of a connected world. Cloud computing has eliminated the natural barriers of time, distance and even language and  enabled each one of us to be in touch with most active minds of contemporary world. Reader familiar with globally well known resource - wikipedia, will recognize without special reference how much the author owes to this most fruitful of connected world resource; to others a footnote acknowledging the debt would be neither helpful nor meaningful. All readers  , I am sure will assume that this blog, like any other, has a long, linked and recurring reference and mixed ancestry.
