One of the most significant impacts of AI is in education. AI-powered tools like language models, automated essay generators, and problem-solving apps can do much of the heavy lifting for students. While these tools are incredibly useful for learning and understanding concepts, they can also be misused. Students might use AI to write essays, complete assignments, or even cheat on exams, bypassing the learning process entirely. This poses a challenge for educators, who must now find ways to ensure that students are genuinely learning and not just relying on AI to do the work for them.
